Osteopathy or Sports Massage: Which Appointment Should I Book?
Both are available at Taylor Osteopathy, but they start from different places. Here is how to choose the right appointment.

At Taylor Osteopathy, both osteopathy and sports massage are carried out by Neil Taylor. The main difference is why you are booking and whether the problem needs assessing first.
When sports massage may suit you
Sports massage may suit you if you already know which muscles feel tight or heavy, there is no new unexplained injury, and you want an appointment focused mainly on soft-tissue work. You do not need to be an athlete.
When an osteopathy appointment makes more sense
An osteopathy appointment may make more sense if you have a new injury, persistent or unexplained pain, symptoms spreading into an arm or leg, recurrent problems, or you simply do not know what is causing the symptoms. It starts with a clinical history and assessment before deciding whether hands-on care is appropriate.
Not sure? Ask first
If you are uncertain, call or message the clinic first. If you arrive for massage and the problem clearly needs assessment rather than simply soft-tissue work, Neil will explain that rather than pressing ahead with an unsuitable treatment.
Appointment times and prices
A sports massage is a 60-minute, £80 appointment. A new-patient osteopathy appointment is £65 and allows 45–60 minutes for history, examination and care where appropriate. Follow-ups are £60 for 30 minutes.
The right appointment is the one that matches the problem, not the one with the most impressive name.
